I’ve had the truck nearly five years now and just noticed these vacant indicators next to the right turn signal. They’re ordinarily black but the sun shone on them directly, illuminating their forever-unfulfilled purpose.
Gave the truck a much-needed bath, nothing crazy; just a once-over with a rag and some dish soap water and a thorough rinse. Damn thing is so big, just that once-over took half an hour. Have to climb on to the hood to get the front of the roof, middle of the windshield and center of the hood. God I love having a truck that I can climb onto and walk on.
And while I was washing said windshield, I noticed my old wipers were
done
. So, $40 later and I have some sweet new silicone wipers. The old ones were on the truck for at least five years, I inspected them back when I got the truck and they were pretty fresh then. If I can get five years out of these I’ll be very pleased.

W ashing up liquid is sooo bad for your paintwork and plastics\rubber , it strips off all waxes and can promote corrosion as it contains salt. If you don’t have the time\care the much about keeping your car or truck sparkling but do like to clean them every now and then I will give you the advice I gave my brother. Demon Shine Demon Foam to wash with and then their Spray on Shine after rinsing before drying (if you bother drying) or just give it a quic k drive to dry it off. My brother now swears by it, he never waxes his cars and his 2.5 year old i3 still beads water like a freshly waxed car, as does his 1 year old Disco Sport.

The truck is looking good. We need new wipers for our Odyssey, wonder if these would do the trick because so far every set of wipers on it would just make the water spread across the windshield instead of wiping it mostly off.

The truck doesn’t have any wax on it anyway. My tap water probably contains more salt than the dishwashing fluid does.
